The constitutional law of the Islamic Republic of Iran pays a close attention to the Party politics. (Article 23 of the Constitutional Law) 

·        Imam Khomeini was used to criticize the dissipation of Muslims and believed that it is the principle reason why nations fail, as he said, "It is not true to say a Party is bad or all parties are good parties. Celestial Parties are supposed to lead people towards God. When people come together, it will be the time for them to do any job (Sahifeyeh Imam, Vol. 17, P. 191)

·        In the current world, they think parties are the sample and emblem of political freedoms and democracy.

·        The Islamic Republic of Iran holds the flag of a new system with independent remarkable government; attendance of people in all arenas has been always/will be the principle guard of this system.

·        People can have an effective role in determining and choosing their own destiny through parties and formations

·        In a party, people offer their comments in a collective fashion; they hear hidden and secret news, they put their heads together and adopt a "Common Collective Decision", every individual finds himself and his comments dealing with a universal reactions and decisions become more democratic and collective.

·        How many times have you read this famous prayer? "God, please accept as one of your parties, 'cause your parties are victorious…"

Do you know the Motalefeh (Coalition) Islamic Party?

Motalefeh Islamic Party has been established concurrently with the Imam Khomeini Movement in 1963. It is the only formation, which is established with the order of the late Imam Khomeini and with the selection of its founder board by Imam itself, in his personal house, and with his attendance.

 It is a formation that has always resulted in the satisfaction of Imam Khomeini (Peace be upon him) and it enjoyed the prayers and permanent attention of that righteous person, it had stayed lawful to him until he passed away, and it has followed his recommendations as a light enlightening the path for its movement.

The primary Articles of Association and Creed of the Motalefeh Islamic Party was compiled in 1963 with the final order and comment of Shahid Dr. Beheshti. The principle goal of the Party in this Articles of Association was to "Establish a Sample Islamic Society". This Articles of Association is finalized in terms of time conditions and the extension of Motalefeh Islamic Party.

The Motalefeh Islamic Party is established for the creation of sample Islamic society and for offering collective services to the nation.

Partition of three generations:

Motalefeh Islamic Party is a collection of three current generations; the first generation has been at the service of late Imam during the Islamic Revolution, and people crusaded for the independence and abolition of the influence of America, England, Shah's Reign, and establishment of the freedom and the Islamic Republic System as the history confirms this.

The second generation serving the Islamic Republic System as well as its people has offered many martyrs and services for the construction, guard, and preservation of the Revolution and values of Islam.

The third generation enjoying the experiences of the two prior generations has always endeavored in establishing a prosperous, free, auspicious, and happy Iran.

Along all the society groups:

The Motalefeh Islamic Party is composed of every group, sisters, and brothers including scientists, theologians, scholars, student, cultural authorities, personnel, marketers and businessmen, workers, farmers, etc and it accepts members from all the above-mentioned groups. Membership in Motalefeh Islamic Party will be based on brother and sister relation between the participants.

Continuing the Service and Martyrdom Course:

Various services inside the Motalefeh Islamic Party from June 05, 1963 since now are the best excuse for the nobility of the independent Islamic and liberal movements of it which proofs have been always followed with the attention of Imam Khomeini (Peace be upon him), the leader of the Islamic Revolution and sympathetic individuals concerning this party and its members. Furthermore, it resulted in the intensity of the anger of irritation of the universal cruelties and dictatorship, as well as the dictatorial government of

Pahlavids, dissenters, and other opposition and deviation flows concerning this celestial formation and members. Martyrs such as Haj Sadegh Amani, Mohammad Bokharaei, Reza Saffar Harandi, Morteza Nik Najad, Hojjatoleslam Seyed Ali Andarzgoo, Haj Mehdi Araghi, Ayatollah Mortaza Motahari, Ayatollah Dr. Mofatteh, Ayatollah Dr. Behest, Hojjatoleslam Valmoslemin Dr. Mohammad Javad Bahonar, Mohammad Ali Rajaei, Hojjatoleslam Valmoslemin Mahallati, Mohammad Sadegh Islami, Ali Derakhshan, Abbasali Nategh Noori, Dr. Hassan Abbaspour, Mohammad Javad Sahaddi, Mohammad Kachouei, Mohammad Ali Nazaran, Seyed Asadollah Lajevardi, and other martyrs especially those martyred in defending the country during the imposed war.

Activity Period of Motalefeh Islamic Party:

1.      1962-1965: this period started with the commencement of the Imam Khomeini's Movement and leaders and effective members of Motalefeh Islamic Party at the service of the late Imam Khomeini and sovereign instructors of Hozeyeh Elmieyeh Ghom and the fighting clergies have had a significant role and position in crusade and activity arenas. Incidents such as the matter of province and canton associations, dealing with the referendum launched by Shah, announcing the national grieve in Norouz 1342 Hejira, events of Moharram 1342 Hejira, demonstrations of Ashoura Day (in which day Imam Hossein and 72 of his close Shiite followers were killed), and big incident of June 05, 1963, standing against the delegation of special privileges to America by Shah ( Capitulation), opposition walks concerning the exile of Imam to Turkey, exercise of God's Order in case of Hassanali Mansour, the former premier of the Pahlavi Regime are of similar cases.

2.      1965-1970: with the detention of the first leaders of Motalefeh Islamic Party and the situation of the society, some changes applied on the management of the Motalefeh Islamic Party and organizational network and activities conducted secretly, and most of efforts leaded towards the foundation of future  movements and keeping on with the fight against the ruffian dominants. Management of this period was with Shahid Bahonar, Shahid Rajaei, Shahidolaslami, and some other brothers.

3.      1970-1975: in this period, the secret fights found a new kind of intensity and Motalefeh Islamic Party besides hidden political activities organized the cultural, social, and service activities that among them we can point out the establishment of Refah Educational Complex, establishment of "Film at Service of Divinity" Company, establishment of interest-free funds, serving the families of political prisoners and martyrs, serving the deprived and underdog people, multidimensional cooperation with other Islamic Fighting Groups, etc. This period has been under a collective management.

4.      1977-1978: after the reveal of the deviations of the Mojahedin Khalgh and their betrayal concerning each other, Motalefeh Islamic Party has played a great role in organizing individuals and establishing relation with fighting clergies, giving hope, and preserving the spirit of the Muslims

5.      1977-1978: in this period, the Motalefeh Islamic Party accepting the message of the late Imam Khomeini in May 1977 and serving the fighting clergies (Rohaniat) and the instructors of Hozeyeh Almiyeh Ghom has played a great role in the creation of hidden formations and organizing the Muslim fighters. Members of Motalefeh Islamic Party have effectively attended in in-million demonstration and events such as 17^th Shahrivar, incidents happened in Moharram and Ashoura 1357 (1978) and other similar events occurred within this period. In addition, they played a great role in the committee for welcoming Imam and mobilization of Disciplinary group with the 60 thousands of participants for the enter of Imam to Iran and directing the ceremonies within the Behesht Zahra and the residence of Imam.

6.      Period after the victory of the Islamic Revolution (1978-1986): In this period, Motalefeh Islamic Party cooperated with the Islamic Republic Party with the permission of Imam Khomeini and its members have offered effective services to this party which offered many martyrs to Islam such as Beheshti, Araghi, Derakhshan, Lajavardi, Eslami, late Haj Seyed Amani, and Asgar Oladi, Badamchian, Haerizadeh, and so on who have been the members of the Central Council.

7.      Period after the close of Jomhouri Eslami (Islamic Republic) Party: Taking its orders from the late Imam Khomeini (p.b.u.h.), Motalefeh Islamic Party preserved its precautionary unity, and in 1988, with the direct confirmation of Imam Khomeini, commenced its new activities in the framework of a party titled " Motalefeh Islamic Population". After the death of Imam Khomeini, the above party continued its life with the confirmation of Ayatollah Khamaneei, leader of Muslims, and it obtained the official permit from the ministry of interior in 1990. In 2003, the party selected " Motalefeh Islamic Party" with the vote of the seventh public meeting in order to be more successful in performing its duties as a party in universal communications.

8.      Current Status: Motalefeh Islamic Party now is the most extensive and experienced party throughout the country. This party currently has offices in more than 180 cities located in 30 state provinces.

·        Public Meeting is the principle column of the Party, which is conducted once in every 3 years with the presence of the representatives selected by members, central council, teachers in provinces and cities. During such meeting, the report on 3-year activities of the party is heard and members of the Central Council are elected.

·        The Central Council has 30 principle and 5 substitute members. In the current period, the central council includes 5 female participants.

·        The central council in its first meeting elects the Presidium (Board of Chairmen), Secretary General, Deputy to the Secretary General, Executive Secretary, Deputy to Executive Secretary, Chairman of Political Center, Chairman of Research & Programming Center, and Deputies to the Executive Secretary which deputies will undertake affairs such as organization of members, education, advertisement, public relations, administrative, financial, and favorers' affairs.

·        During the late years, many endeavors are issued for absorbing youths, students, and ladies that the absorption rate of ladies has been approximately equal to 27 percent in 2006. Presently, 83 percent of official members have ages under 45 years and 66 percent of them are under 35 years of age. More than half of the members have Bachelor's Degree, Master's Degree, Ph.D. certificates.
